Anyone know the differences between SR Smith's Economy line and Residential line of pool ladders? Their spec sheets only list minor dimensional differences (Residential is 23" inches above pool deck and the Economy is 19"). Is one from their own line and the other from a company they acquired (Inter-Fab)?

Here is a bump for more eyes. Seems like less and less ladders out there as pools are rarely designed with them anymore.

I just put a new liner in, 20 x 40 pool with a diving board. When i had the new liner put in I had the old aluminum coping removed (it had seen better days) and a new liner track installed to accommodate pavers for coping. And this has now snowballed in to redoing all the hardscaping around the pool. Since I had a ladder I figured I would put one back. But I may just put in the mounts for a ladder since everything is going to torn up and I can't see an easy way to bond it if it were to be installed after hardscaping is done. I am going with pavers and they are to set set on a inch of sand or so and that is on top of a 4 inch this concrete slab. My old ladder was attached to the steel pool wall though the aluminum coping. I was even considering going with one of SR Smiths commercial ladders just to be able to get one that is more rigid, the commercial use a thicker walled tubing. I worry the lower part of the ladder may damage the liner if the ladder flexes.
