Spa Water Level Dropping Below Infinity Edge After Use - Normal?

Hi all,

I've noticed that after using my spa, which is part of an infinity edge spa, the water level falls below the infinity edge's lip. Is this normal? Attached is a photo for reference.

Is this typical for infinity edge spas, or could it indicate a problem with water circulation? Would love to hear if anyone else has experienced this and what it might mean.

Thanks!

Sounds normal to me.

When in spa mode (spa is isolated from the pool) and you get in the spa, water is displaced and runs over the edge. Get out of the spa, and the level will be lower (displacement removed). The edge is really only going to be wet when run in spillover mode.

PI,

I agree with Mark... Sounds pretty normal to me.

When in the spa mode, no new water is added to the spa.. The spa will only fill back up if you go into the Pool mode, so the Spa spillover works, or if you add water with a hose.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Another thing that cause a fair bit of water to leave the spa is the use of a blower. Do you have a blower? If you run the blower does it splash water over the spillway. Some pools are designed where the blower can send several inches of water to be quickly spilled over into the pool.
