Spa vs. Pool Chemical Levels

Apologies in advance if this has been posted elsewhere but I can’t find it. I have spa with a spillover and I have always assumed that if I’m testing the pool chems then those results should be good for the spa. Looking at a calcium build up on the glass tile in the spa, it made me start thinking that was not the right assumption to make. If there is a thread someone can point me to that would be great, otherwise any assistance to these questions would be appreciated.

- Should I be testing spa chem levels?
- Is there a spa math I should be using?
- What are the appropriate chem levels for a spa?
- Anything I should know?

Thanks for the help.

All recommended ranges are the same. The elevated temperature of the water can effect the scaling tendency.

Your signature says you a have an integrated spa with the pool. If so, then you treat the system. Your 'spa' is just an extension of the pool.
