New pool owner here. Been reading up as much as I can but trying to figure out if I have a way to adjust this situation. 37x15 pool with inset spa about 10x7.

I have all Jandy equipment, hooked up to Aqualink 3.0/RS6
2 VS Pumps and a water feature pump.

I have a total of 12 jets in my attached spa.

When I am in pool mode, 6 of the jets are on (one half of the spa) returning water to the spa, small bubbles are always present, primarily from two jets.
When I am in spa mode, those same six jets are producing all of the heated water, and returning water to the spa, the flow is much stronger and creating bubbles and jets
When I turn on the booster pump, the other 6 jets turn on and produce a significantly stronger force out of those jets than the opposite 6 coming from my main pump.

My main questions are:

Is there a setting within Aqualink that will allow me to turn down the filter pump so that I can heat up the spa, and then enjoy it without all of the bubbles all of the time? Will this effect my filtration by doing so? If the booster is off, the spa is relatively quiet, but it would be nice to have no bubbles.

On the opposite side of the same question, is there a setting where I can turn up the RPM on the filter pump to boost pressure coming out of the 6 return lines to rival the booster pump.

Reading through the forums, it seems like I should've had the PB have the return lines in the floor of the spa, and the JETS only attached to the booster pump. But that is not how my spa was plumbed. I was wondering if this is something that could be configured via the onetouch settings. Also when in pool mode, should those return lines be bubbling?

Thanks in advance for any help. Much appreciated.

Welcome to TFP.

Post pics of your equipment pad.

You can’t adjust the bubbles using your Aqualink but there may be other tricks you can do.

You should be able to increase your filter/pump RPM in SPA mode to increase the jet pressure. @PoolGate can show you the iAqualink screen.

Yes, your spa should have been setup differently.

Twelve jets are too much for one pump to make work properly. The 6 that are on when the system is in pool mode are there to provide fresh water to the spa to keep it relatively clean and are the ones that provide heated water when the spa is on. There are ways to stop the air from entering the line when in pool mode, but there is no good reason to do so. You could even add a 2-way valve and actuator to the air line and automate it.

You get less jet action from the first 6 as the water is first going through the filter and then the heater causing restriction that the jet pump doesn't have. You may be able to increase the speed of the pump to get the flow that you want, but it will change as the filter gets dirtier.

Thanks everyone. I was able to figure a few settings out to get a round about way of getting what I wanted.

Have setup a low speed for the filter jets so that once the heater is done heating it can go down to a lower flow. Same with the booster jets, I have setup multiple levels of RPM's to bring down the opposite jets to a more reasonable speed when we don't want full bore jets.

One thing that was a learning curve for me were the automatic cool down or start up cycles of the pump speeds. But after passing the elapsed times, I was able to easily adjust pump speeds.
