Hello, I am having some issues with wiring my spa pump. I used to have this pump on a dream maker big e z and it worked great. I bought a dream maker odyssey that the pump went bad on. I changed the pumping from the 2” to the 1 1/2” but I can’t seem to get it wired correctly. I have a small orange jumper wire that I believe went from 3 to 5. But I can not figure out what order these are supposed to go. I have the ground on the right spot but can’t figure out the red/black/ white and if I need the small orange jumper? Any help is appreciated

I found this, which might help.

Note: I am not sure that the following is 100% correct.

Verify all information before deciding what to do.

Do at your own risk.

I think that the orange jumper goes from 3 to 5 and then you connect 115 volts to terminals #1 and #6.

Is your supply 115 volts or 230 volts?

Is your supply for a two speed motor?

Your motor label indicates 115 volts and single speed.

I had a 2 speed previously but this one is a one speed. My other was a 2 speed and I changed it to this one speed and it worked but I can’t figure out how I had it wired previously. I just tried orange to 3 and 5 , white to 6, and black to 1. I get power on the display but no success

Are you 100% sure that the supply voltage is 115?

How do you know?

One wire should be neutral/common and one should be switched.

Do you know how to test for voltage to figure out the wires?

Here’s the old pump and my multimeter. Not sure what setting it needs to be on. Thanks for the help.

Set the meter to 750 ACV and check each line to ground to see which line is neutral and which is hot.

The hot line should switch from leg to leg when you change from high speed to low speed.

Get an electrician to verify all wiring before using the tub to make sure that everything is safe.

Do not do anything that you are not 100% sure about.
