Spa drained overnight, now the plaster is discolored

I had a customer have a valve acuator malfunction and there spa emptied overnight. He immediately filled it back up and noticed the spa was now very discolored. Any ideas on what would cause this?

Where are you located? Does the water have iron in it?

no iron in the water. I dont have before/after pics. The staining is a much lighter shade of blue than other areas of the surface
