Without the spillover running you can run your pool pump at more like 20GPM using a lot less electrical cost.

I would like to see some more rocks or such under the rebar to keep it off the ground. They are going to be walking on it as they shoot the shell so it will bow down. They may say "We will pull it back up". Yeah no............put more stuff under it so it STAYS up and it will be okay.

This is a picture of a 40’ X 7’ reef step with 3 return lines. I would recommend a minimum of two return lines with your size of reef step. Yeah mine is about half that size, so Im thinking 2 should be good. Great. Ensure you purchase the covers for the added wall drains to match the pool...

Thank you. I added more brick dobies to elevate the rebar. Shoot is done. Time to clean up the overspray and repressure test the piping.

Yes, watering almost hourly at first. It was a cool night, steam came off the concrete. Had a distinct new pool smell. May need to make an air freshener with that smell. Wife said it just smelled like money.
