Good afternoon everyone -

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences doing an acoustic treatment surrounding a pool pump in an effort to make the system run more quietly. Would love thoughts from anyone who has tried this. Thanks!

What speed do you run your VS pump? It should be pretty quiet at low RPM.

It is fairly quiet at low to medium speeds (say, below about 2500). When I turn it up to higher speeds in order to push the spa jets, that's when it gets louder. Since we're typically using our spa in the evenings, I'm especially interested in finding a way to muffle the pump noise.

How close is the pump to spa? I'm surprised too that you can hear it over the jets. I've seen a foam box built with 2" poly iso covering the pump. Be aware that all pumps need air to cool themselves so if its hot out it needs to breathe
