Sonos dropping support for most of my stuff

I wonder if this whole thing was just a marketing scam. It doesn't take a genius in any industry to anticipate what the public response would be after an announcement like that...

My guess is they come up with a "miracle" to allow the old and new to coexist together... anything for their loyal customers

Remember the good old days when your "ecosytem" consisted of this particular receiver, that particular amp and those particular speakers all made by different folks and the "system" all coexisted just fine?

That is the reason why I have separate AV systems. Good old school stuff. I have a Yamaha Adventage RX-860 for my patio?pool area and a separate Yamaha Adventage RX-780 for my living room. I had considered Sonos however it is very expensive :cheers:
