Something between liner and pool wall!

(Ignore the water. We had issues with our cover this winter.)

I partially drained the pool (I know I messed up) which we have about 3 feet inground on this side. The sides caved in at a few spots. We were able to get those pushed back out. But there’s this spot here that’s about 2 feet. I can feel that it’s not the pool wall (it’s also not dented in on the outside). It feels like maybe clumps of dirt or something spongy. It’s not hard. What can I do?

I'm struggling to figure out how dirt got between the liner and the pool wall?!?! Could it be some foam coving?

If the liner isn't old and stiff you may want to look behind the liner carefully without letting more water out. The water against the pool wall will hold what ever it is from falling lower but atleast you can see it. If it's loose dirt you can suck it out with a wet dry vac possibly
