Someone Plastered over pool light conduit. Need help!

Welcome to TFP.

Can you give us more background about the pool. You mean your pool was replastered and they removed the pool light and plastered over that hole? How do you know there was a pool light in the pool?

Greetings all,
Im a new homeowner and someone plastered over my pool light conduit. I’m trying to locate the pipe so I can install a pool light. Any suggestions on how I can go about this?
Appreciates everyone’s help!
Is it possible to come from the other end of the conduit with a wire fish? Tap VERY gently when it bottoms out and have someone listen in the pool.

I had a light in my first pool. They look cool from time to time, but I find it more of a mosquito attractant than anything

A pool light is required for safe night time swimming unless you have house floodlights on the pool.. You need to be able to see a body in the bottom of the pool at night.

Thanks for getting back to me. It’s a Shasta pool built in 1971, remodeled in 1993. Diving board 9 ft deep. Fairly decent size pool. Yes, they replastered over the hole and there is empty conduit next to my Pool pump and J-box that leads towards the pool. I’ve dug as far as I can before concrete happens, so I know the conduit is heading towards the diving board area.

I’ve tried that and yes I can hear something but can’t quit pin point exact position...Was hoping to get a much closer location to minimize drilling.

I have seen plumbers have a sondes probe they can put down a pipe and then be able to detect it's location from the surface.

Thanks a bunch for your help. A little nervous about drilling a hole in my pool to find the pipe...No other options as far as I can see
