UPDATE: Found a post from Feb 2013 on whatthebest-hottub.com referencing the K10 relay on a Sundance spa. Apparently not a terribly uncommon failure that many folks fix by purchasing a new circuit board. HOWEVER, there's a way to wire the circ pump to another relay by switching the terminals that the two line-voltage wires are connected to. The post is here: Sundance ciruclation pump .. relay / flo error with a picture. Well, it worked! Just thought y'all should know.

So if you have a Sundance spa with only the circ pump not operating, this might be a handy little trick.

It’s a Sundance spa - I think circa 2006. A little while ago the flow motor stopped running. Everything else worked fine, just nothing from the flow motor. Tried a few things and determined it was probably the motor. I replaced it with a new one this morning. Still haven't refilled the tub, but I turned on the breaker to
check first. Same thing - the panel fired up, both jet pumps and the bubble pump work, but I get nothing from the flow motor.

I’ve checked the four obvious fuses on the front of the panel and the large power fuse on the bottom - all are good. The display only reads “FLO”, owing to the fact there isn’t any water so now flow would be detected by the switch. In any event, the flow motor doesn’t power on at all. I feel like this could be a simple fix but I can’t seem to find an answer. Any help!?

Old motor was Emerson Model K55MYGRD-8367, 1563 Spa Motor, 1/15 HP, 1.0 SF, RPM 1425/1725, 230V....if any of that helps. New motor is aquaflo direct replacement for that part number.

Re: Sundance Flow Motor Head Scratcher

Update: It's a 2006 Sundance Cameo. Flow motor still not powering on (everything else does), but I've done some more trouble shooting. First, with the tub empty I removed the flow switch and "tested" it. (Basically turned on the tub and closed the contacts.) A note: don't do this for very long. Assuming the flow switch is good it will tell the heater to turn on and, without any water to heat, that will trigger an overheating error. Needless to say, the flow switch seems to work. Next I filled the tub, powered up, and again - nothing from the flow motor. I tested the fuses again and everything seems fine. Visual inspection of capacitors - all seem fine. Lights work. Other motors work. The motor is brand new. It just seems to not get the message to power on.

Could it just be a bad relay? Any ideawhich relay it would be? This is getting so frustrating.
