I will be using a solar cover this year for a 20 X 40 pool. I cannot use a cover reel. I have read of people cutting covers in sections to make things easier. Should I cut into two 20 x 20 sections? Or does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you for the help.

definitely cut I have freeform pool shape and couldnt use reel either. My pool 40 by 24 at widest. I cut it approximately in half but did it with about and 18" overlap , otherwise you will wind up with a gap in between. Much easier to handle and if you dont need the full pool at the time you can leave it half covered.
