Solar Cover Question

Hey guys,

I have a question about the solar cover for my above ground Intex 12x30 pool.

I would like to get my pool as warm as possible. My pool receives direct sunshine from about 8am until about 1pm, after that the sun is obstructed by a large oak tree and buildings.

My question is, in order to get maximum warming benefit from the sun, should I keep the solar cover on during the period of direct sun or remove it so the sun can hit the water directly?

Remove the cover when sun is on the pool for maximum effect. Be sure to cover when the sun goes away.

Solar covers are much more effective at retaining any gained heat rather than being able to generate any.
