Hello everyone! We have a new 20’ x 40’ pool and the solar cover we got from our pool company is about 16” short on the 40’ side. I contacted our pool company and they said that it is like that to prevent out gassing which sounds like BS to me. Has anyone heard of this being an issue? Every solar cover I have seen has completely covered the pool. Thanks!

16" is not going to change the effectiveness of the filter very much (<4%). But a pool does outgas which is why there are recommendations to remove a cover very couple of days.
