Sock method

So my cya is low. I put the stabilizer in a sock and than put the sock in the skimmer. It dissolved in an hour . Than I filled the sock again and back into the skimmer. My sock had no holes in it lol. I can’t believe it went so fast. I tested my cya level the next day and it’s still really low. Should I give it a few more days to register before adding more ?

Give it a couple days. Your CYA may have been pretty fine and some of it is in the filter. Do not backwash for several days to a week, if possible.

It can take 48 hours for CYA dissolved in a sock to register in a pool.
