Smart valves without controller?

Are there smart valves that can be controlled independently from a Home automation app and that does not need a controller?

What do you want to do?

What do you think is a “Smart Valve”?

There are dumb actuators placed on diverter valves that are made smart by the controller the actuator is plugged into.

Basically thinking that if we already have power supply, relays, smart switches that connect via wifi, zigbee, etc...it's very possible that there are valves/actuators that can do the same allowing for a DYI semi automated system.

Not that I know of.

Take a look at the low budget automation link in my sig. The actuators require 24 VAC power. They can be controlled with simple WiFi relay switches.
