Aside from safety issues, the rain water won't hurt anything pool-wise. But when I saw mosquito larvae wriggling around, I drained mine

Glad you don't have to buy something else for the pool. It is always important to be able to drain water from the pool on a as needed basis.

Yeah, I think I will drain once today's storm is over with! Mozzies are bad enough right now.
I've done the fence so we (mainly the dogs) have access around the house to the front yard.
Got to love a working fence again!!! Makes life so much easier with dogs!

After the heavy rain last night I've noticed staining on the concrete. Is this likely a problem? Concerned that it's from the rebar underneath. If it is will it penetrate the mini pebble when it's applied?
I bet it is from the rebar due to the moisture. It will NOT be a problem with the plaster as it is is thick when it is applied.

Not much happening. Just watering, watering and more watering! Formwork was removed today and we had our new security screens fitted to the windows/doors leading onto the pool area (the rest of the house was done about 5 years ago, so now was the perfect time to finish those remaining). Need to level the area where our equipment pad will sit. A job for the weekend, but no rush. We did get a fairly decent variation in our favour today due to not requiring a nib wall that was in our contract. I didn't think we needed one but pb thought we would given the slope of the block either etc. We decided to just leave it in the contract and take the credit if not required. Really happy with the communication from our site supervisor. He called yesterday to tell me what would happen next etc. He's so organised, yet very personable. Certainly comforting. He also loves our dogs and they both love him, which is unusual for our older dog [emoji4]
If you dog loves him he is GOOD!! They know the good guys!

So, my water is looking a little off! I did drain the pool over the weekend, but now we are being hammered by torrential rain again. It's filling way quicker than it's draining. Oh well, no need to water the concrete tonight!
QUICK! Get some chlorine in that water! LOL Just keep draining and maybe the rain will back off enough for the draining hose to catch up.

Lol! I think it needs more than chlorine [emoji23] Yes, it will be fine. I've well and truly bonded with it so I won't miss watering. Once it stops it's hubby's turn to bond. He returned home today and saw the concrete for the first time. He's pretty happy with how it's coming along.

It has been quite dry back in Adelaide - Which is good because my shed door is yet to be installed.

Well here on the other side of the world we are also getting massive amounts of rain. LOL
Lol! Hubby got in ours and it was just below his knees! A decent amount of water considering we were draining the whole time. Sun is finally out today so hoping the yard dries up a bit. It's a quagmire!
