Small leak. Need advice

Hello,
We opened our pool last week and today I noticed a small leak coming from the return when I saw water dripping down the wall. (Not good) I looked and it is leaking from the threads that go into the wall, not around the gasket. What is the best way to fix this? I assume I will have to lower the water level but I wanted to get some advice and be sure before I take this apart. I'll try and attach a pic. Thank you all in advance for the help!

Is there an o-ring? May need replacing, or perhaps cleaning it up and using pool lube on ring and threads will be enough to provide a good seal.

No O-ring. It's a gasket. I will try and tighten the nut and see if that works. If not, I will lower water level, then replace the return gaskets.

Don’t forget the pool lube. Silicone-based, not petroleum.
