Slowly raising CYA in new pool, trying not to go over 50

Hello everyone!

When doing the CYA test this morning (TF-100), the dot was very faint at the 40ppm mark, but not visible at 30 so I'm calling it 40.

I'm assuming as I bring the CYA up that I have some wiggle room somewhere between the point where I can no longer see the dot at 40, but its still visible at 50. Is this correct? Trying not to screw this up! :)
 
CYA testing is not that precise. If the dot disappears anywhere after 50 and before 40 you call it 50 and move on.
