Slaming

been slamming my pool now for 4 days keeping at 15 to 25 FC, now when do I let it drop to the 7? Still some alge seen on bottom, I brush it every day. Should I keep the salm at 15 to 25 for a couple of more days?

Should I be checking all the chemicals and adjusting them during a slam?

The SLAM instructions are in your last thread, you may want to keep posting on that one so everyone knows your history when replying.

There are 3 criteria that need to be met to complete a SLAM

crystal clear water
.5 CC or less
and pass an overnight chlorine test

What is your SLAM number based on CYA??? See here -->[FC/CYA][/FC/CYA]

A SLAM is done when: water is crystal clear, no visable algae; CCs are 0.5 or less; Overnight Chlorine Loss Test shows no more than 1ppm FC loss.

If you've still got algae on the bottom you're not done. Make sure you're brushing those spots with algae extra good to disrupt any biofilm the alage has laid down.

I am using the Non SWCG chart , my cay at start was 60 and I targeted Fc shock of 24
my water is crystal clear
I have visible algae
Will do a chlorine loss tonight

do you mean you have NO visible algae? If you do have visible algae that's a fail... keep slamming
