SLAM timeframe while passing OCLT & 0 CC?

Here is a picture of it in my skimmer throat. Feels like sand but brushes to a poof. Only seems to show up in the heat of the day after 2pm.

FC at 18 this morning. Will resume SLAM tonight. Temps are in the mid 90s last couple of days and sunny. Probably has not helped my slamming. Pool temp will hit 90 today.

Algae is slimy - dirt/sand is gritty.
Algae gets bleached out by slam level fc while dirt generally doesn’t.
Do you have fine pleated filters for your bot? If so - use them.

I hope I am the dummy that has been trying to SLAM out dirt since Feb. neighbors back yard is a mess to the right after construction and they have been bringing in dirt to try and level and the other neighbor had his drain field replaced and his yard is red dirt and straw right now. I have a fine filter for my robot. I only vacuum every couple weeks as a generally do not get leaves and debri that settles unless all the kiddos are over with grass feet.

It took me a couple of seasons at the old place to understand and accept it. In the end I learned to trust my testing to prove what I was looking at.

This weekend me and the Mrs spent the bulk of the afternoon in various stages of floating and she was disappointed at all the crud floating on the surface. 'Sweetie, the wind is howling all day off the farm and there is nothing we can do about it' NO doubt my floor will be poofy if I brush today.

If you want to be overly cautious and eliminate the possibility of MA raise to ma slam level after passing all the slam exit criteria as prescribed.
Then keep fc at or above MA minimum afterwards.
Part of the slam is to brush or vac daily- if there’s recurring debris you should run the bot.

Fwiw- i run my bot daily at 9am because seeing the orange/brown crushed concrete dust from my yard drives me crazy!

With multiple vehicles driving down to the shop daily the fine bot filter is a must!
I have also dealt with what I believe was MA & it did bleach out whereas the dirt doesn’t.
I keep my fc at the top of target range for this reason.

Did you build a new driveway to the shop? Or just access gravel drive

Yes - We have an asphalt drive that stops at our house and during the wet times the area to & infront of the shop would become a mess. There was a path but no gravel. We still need more gravel lol 😂 its an ongoing need. Recently got some asphalt milling- hopefully it wont be as dusty

Ok I am officially an idiot. This stuff was dirt the entire time. I ran the robot several times and it has never come back. I wasted alot of time money and energy. I guess it was so fine that my sand filter was just blowing it back out each time and it took my robot with the fine filters on it to get it out. Lesson learned.
