SLAM question for the experts... I was a little lax in my pool care leading up to our summer here in Phoenix and got home last week from a work trip and had some green. I SLAM’d Saturday and Sunday, the pool was crystal but I am honestly a little unsure on my OFCLT. The lighting can be tricky testing inside at night and then outside the next morning, but I think I may have lost 2-3 ppm instead of <1 ppm. It’s really not feasible for me to SLAM during the work week especially this week. So here’s my question:
Will I lose a lot of ground and let Algae grow if I stop a SLAM prematurely during the week, maintain FC on the high end during the week, and resume a SLAM Friday night and throughout the weekend.
I realize I’m stretching the “M” in SLAM, but I’m trying to keep this manageable with work life.
My latest results before adding chemicals tonight are below. My plan would be to target chlorine adds to 12ppm to keep FC high enough to last through the loss experienced during our long hot days.
