Good morning,

Day 4 of SLAM, mostly for algae spots. I can see a change in the spots in the pool, but much less so in the spa. Still lots of spots on the bottom. Should I treat the spa any differently than the pool? Should I pour chlorine directly in the spa?

Thanks,
Jennifer

Assuming the spa is tied to the pool, no, do the SLAM for the entire system. Brush the spa to disrupt the algal colonies.

So I’ve been slamming for over a week. Less algae, but still spots. I just got in and really scrubbed the spots. Is over a week normal? Did I misread my CYA and not put in enough chlorine? Should I continue, but with higher levels of chlorine?

Great -- thank you!
The chemistry results you showed indicate your SLAM level FC is 24 ppm. Are you testing your FC and adding liquid chlorine back to that level several times per day?
