SLAM and when it is safe to swim

Hey Guys!

Starting to see great results from my first SLAM. Have taken my pool from pea soup to a very slightly cloudy clear over the past few days.

FC is still dropping overnight, went from 21 to 17.5 in about twelve hours last night.
CYA is at 40-45

My daughter's first birthday is tomorrow and we advertised the pool as being an option in the invitation.

Would it would be safe to let the Chlorine levels drift down today/overnight for people to swim during the party and then continue the SLAM on Monday?

If so, at what FC level would it be safe for folks to actually get in and swim?

You can safely swim in a pool as long as the FC is above the minimum and at or below SLAM level based on your CYA. You must also be able to see the bottom in the deep end of the pool.

Your FC should be OK by tomorrow. The clarity is what you must be sure of.

Awesome, thanks! The clarity is definitely there - not sparkling clear yet but I was VERY happy with how it looked when I woke up this morning. Was able to see well enough to know exactly where I needed to vacuum and have it looking nice :)
