Is there a way to "test" if our skimmer is working correctly? We have an auto covered and when our pool is not in use it stays covered. I just feel as if there is a ton of stuff .. bugs other stuff , on top of the water, especially for it being covered.

If your cover is touching the water surface when closed, your skimmer won’t be able to get the surface clean. I have a similar situation with my solar cover. If you want your water skimmed, it has to be able to move appropriately.

Gotcha.. silly questions perhaps .. how do I know if it's touching ?
And if it's touching it's their a "fix" ?

Autocovers are designed to rest on the water surface. They typically float on the surface everywhere except for a few inch wide area around the perimeter of the pool. There is no "fix".
