Skimmer weir tab is broken

You can also use a spring loaded weir door that doesn't break off when it swings both ways. I had to resort to this since my tab also broke off and I later had two hinged doors break.

I was thinking of something similar, I have some CA glue that I was going to use and use a piece of plastic. I'll try it out on a nice warm day.

Attach with PlastAid or good double-sided tape like Gorilla Glue Mounting tape.

As an update, I fixed my issue by cutting a ring of 3/4" PVC about 3/8" thick. I then glued it to the inside of the skimmer, just behind the opening, on the left hand side. Gorilla double-back mounting tape didn't work for me, so I used JB Marine Weld.
