Skimmer socks with skimmer/floating weir?

It's been a heavy pollen year and despite clarifiers, robot cleaner with super-fine basket running constantly, and more brushing than I've done in the last 5 yrs combined, I can't keep pollen off the bottom of my pool (yes I've manually vacuumed to waste as well). Has anyone had any luck putting skimmer socks on skimmers that use a floating weir? I realize I could just take the floating weir out when a sock is on the basket, but the weir really improves suction/pulling water into the skimmer. I've heard some folks put skimmer socks on the outside of their baskets, but I can imagine horrible things if it were to come loose. Suggestions? At this point I think I may just take out the floating weir temporarily, put a skimmer sock on the basket, vacuum (mine runs from the skimmer) to filter instead of waste (to avoid water loss), and call it a day. Just looking for a more efficient/less labor intensive suggestion!

PInch back you main drain to increase the flow to the skimmers. Your pollen will not go through your filter it will get captured.
Don't use clarifiers.
What is your CYA and chlorine level? This picture sounds like you are continuously fighting algae that is settling because you have not completed a slam.

Have you considered skimming more so that the pollen doesn't sink to the bottom? You have a VSP, so you can skim constantly at low rpm.

Disposable hairnets are a better option. When they're full, just throw them out and install a new one.

That's a terrible idea. Not sure why someone would do that.

I normally run my pump constantly at 1,000 rpm, which is enough to skim my pool. During heavy pollen season here (March - April) I monitor my skimmers/hairnets almost daily.

Skimmer sock on the inside of the basket works great. I haven’t tried the hair net, but I’ll definitely give that a try, I like the idea of tossing them instead of rinsing them off.
