Skimmer Replacement

I bought a used pool several years ago, and paid to have it installed. Recently the skimmer has started leaking, and it seems like the best solution would be replace the entire skimmer. However, I am having a problem finding a replacement. The current skimmer seems to be very unusual because it attachs first to the pool wall via screws outside the opening, and then to the liner with a standard wide mouth opening. The problem is that all the skimmers I can find only connect using the actual opening, which would be okay, except that when the pool was installed, a 14 inch by 7.5 inch opening was cut, meaning normal skimmers will not fit. I've looked everywhere I could find online, and haven't been able to find a replacement. Does anyone know of a way that I can replace my skimmer box?

Thanks.
