The pool next door to me is being flipped with the house. I figured for years that it was in terrible shape, but you couldn’t see as the water was black. A crew spent about half a day over there so after they left I snuck over to see what was happening. My own pool is probably heading for a replaster so I kind of wanted to see the process.
Is this legitimate? Someone in a local pool group said that chipping away just near the fittings, tile, and any damage was perfectly acceptable and that the bond coat would allow new plaster to adhere. This just seems like “good enough to sell the house” to me.
Am I wrong?
