Hi, I am replacing the cord on my pool robot. When I unscrewed the part that screws over the plug in for the electrical wires there was a silicone type substance which I am thinking you are supposed to put on the threads when you screw the part in. The threads are plastic on both sides. I need something that will keep the electrical parts dry but not cement the part in there. Like I said this stuff was soft and pliable like a silicone maybe.

Can anyone suggest a good product for this?

Thanks as always!!

Dave

Thanks for replying, it was a smartpool. But it is finally dead after 4 years. They stopped making them. And I decided to just go ahead and get a nice new Dolphin. I appreciate it though!
