Hi,

My pool was built in 2005 and pool service company said there is a need to replaster.
Technically since it is already 15 years old, it is time to replaster.
I have no idea how bad it is and here is some pictures.

Is the pool leaking?

Any sign of rebar rusting on the plaster?

I don’t see any plaster chipping or delamination. I think your plaster has a few more years left in it.

Update: there is no obvious chipping or declamination. I did see some gray spots. But I am not sure what caused this. I use Polaris cleaner but it should not cause problem on steps since it never work on the steps. I will do a power wash first and see how it turns out.

How did this end up? Did you Replaster?

My Pool was built in 1993, we bought the house 10 years ago. Original Plaster surprisingly not too bad for 30 years old now.
Looks very similar to your pics, and I am debating a replaster.
