Should FC ever be added after adding Polyquat 60 when closing the pool?

Is there an ideal level that FC should be at after adding polyquat 60?

I added the Polyquat 60 when the FC was at 1/2 slam level and will let the pool motor run for 24 hours.
I have read that you should not adjust the FC after adding Polyquat 60.
I am just wondering how stringently this rule should be followed.
It seems to me (but, I am no chemist by any means); that this would to some extent depend on what your FC level is actually at 24 to 30 hours after adding polyquat 60.
From what I have read I suspect the answer may be no.
I see this topic discussed in the forum and I have noticed varying suggestions which there are bound to be.
I would like to be sure I understand this as best I can.

If it is OK to add FC, if needed, what FC level should I aim for with the polyquat 60 already in the water?
Also, if I add FC, should I add FC before draining the pool so I can run the pump to mix it in? I have read that some add FC after draining. I could do this also if mixing in by brushing is adequate to mix the chlorine in.

Thank you for your suggestions!

The article referenced by AJW22 states " As they recommend for proper winterization, the pool should be "shocked" with about 5-10ppm chlorine to destroy any lingering oxidant demand and remove any residual ammonia or chloramine, etc. After a couple of days, adjust the pH back to 7.2-7.6 and then add Polyquat 60 at the maximum rate as instructed per the label. This approach allows you to receive the highest benefit from both chemicals.'

I would like to better understand the statement "This approach allows you to receive the highest benefit from both chemicals.'
As stated in my original post I added the Polyquat 60 when the FC was at 1/2 slam level and let the pool motor run for 24 hours.
I would still like to understand, if at the end of this process, whether there is an ideal level that FC should be at after adding polyquat 60?

Thank you for any comments.

so...can someone check if my steps below is the right steps to take?

SLAM pool
let pump run for 24 hrs
drain pool after 24 hrs
Close pool
add polyquat roughly after a few days depending on FC.

only reason I have 24 hrs...is because I dont have a lot of time between now and closing the pool. I have someone closing my pool

or do you think it is recommended that I do the below?

SLAM pool
let pump run for 72 hrs
add polyquat
let pump run for 24 hrs
drain pool
close pool

The PQ directions call for it to be mixed for 24 hours. That said, I diluted mine in a 5 gallon bucket (stirred well) and divided the bottle into 4 batches/ buckets. It REALLY helped disperse it and the whole pool was cloudy in minutes, maybe even less than a minute. You'd still want it mixing for as long as reasonably possible, but if you couldn't do the 24 hours, the bucket dilution should help.

Add the Polyquat before you drain and close the pool.
