The concrete deck that surrounds my pool is sinking in places and finally seems to have broken/cracked the pipe to my sheer descent. That pipe is a flexible pipe. I went out today and water was shooting up in the gap between the coping and the deck. Fortunately this is home-runned back to the equipment pad so I can shut just this off. What needs to happen is that area of the deck has to be broken up to get to and fix the pipe and then, if possible, jack the deck back where it is supposed to be. I am not sure what that costs though. Anyone have any idea? I see advertisements for it. They drill small holes and insert expanding foam to raise the deck. The alternative is just rip that whole area out and redo it. But other than sinking, the concrete is great. No cracks or anything. Installer is out of business so I will get no help there.

Once you break up the slab to get at the flex hose to repair it does It make sense to mud jack it up?

Should you replace the flex hose with solid PVC that will not fail in the future?

I can actually see the pipe through the crack between the coping and the deck so only a small area needs to be broken up. And I'm not entirely sure it's flexible pipe I'm going by memory of the build.

We've had some serious rains lately and I think that open joint from my builder telling me mastic isn't needed has finally started to haunt me.
