I am very, very new to pools and this forum helped me get a basic understanding of pool equipment operation. Not to disc Pentair in any way, but sitting on hold for almost two hours, I did much internet searching that was more helpful than they are!
THIS MODEL IS QUITE DIFFERENT from so many videos and posts I read through. 2017 is a whole new ballgame:
First of all, the ESCAPE button on the panel is SAVE (with a check mark) on this version, and SPEED = PROGRAM.
These are the two main (and confusing!) differences.
(Note that even the "John The Pool Expert" video from June 2016 labeled Programming the Schedules and Speeds of the Intellipro 2 VST is NOT the same!)
I chuckle that I am going to apologize for too much sun on my photos of the pump touch pad screen! Coming from cloud-shrouded Syracuse, NY, this Florida sun is so fabulous! And the reason for my wonderful pool! I hope these screen shots help.
SO...when you hit menu you get SETTINGS; arrow down to PROGRAM 1-8 (AKA SPEED on earlier models) hit SELECT, and SELECT again on the PROGRAM number (photo #3) - each time; you will need to arrow down to the next Program number. Then when you see SCHEDULE or EGG TIMER, hit SELECT and then SAVE, from there scroll the highlighted screen til it says SCHEDULE and hit SAVE; then down arrow to SPEED, hit SELECT, then down arrow to the (last) screen that shows the speed, hit SELECT, and arrow back and forth on the highlighted numbers to change it to the speed you want, then hit MENU or BACK and go through the steps again for the next program. BIG NOTE HERE: when you finish, whatever mode your pump is in at the time MUST FINISH before all your hard work scheduling takes over. Same thing if you shut everything down (like we did to remove hard water scale from our salt cell), it will go into some warp speed mode but when it finishes, again, it will go back to your schedule. Best wishes to all and after all this go take a swim!!
