Hello, 2022!
Quick update, just for information purposes. The voltage is still present, but I did fix the bonding wire on the pool light. Granted, when I redo my liner I will have them replace the wire with a solid bonding wire (stranded sucks). We do plan on purchasing a saftron railing as well.
Also, I dug up my grounding rod for my home, and come to find out its rebar
Thanks 1980's! I'll be driving a new 8ft copper rod into the ground this Summer. Oh, I was checking out Mike Holt's forum and found this post: Stray voltage
As I read through the thread, one person posted this: "Had similar issue in a pool with bonding all correct, probe in the water and another to remote earth, power off, and still had voltage present. POCO had pad mount xfer and underground conductors, in the underground hole corroded conductors were leaking current into earth and showing itself in the pool water. Once POCO made repairs no more voltage present in water."
So here we are. Summer of 2022. We may never know where this is coming from; however, all of the underground lines weren't evaluated by the PC that runs from the distribution buses. Like Fred B. stated from Mike Holt's forum, the bonding was correct and it still happened. My pool has never had this issue until road construction was done and the water retention pond was installed. I would be ****** if I ripped up the concrete and redid the bonding only to find out it didn't correct the issue; hence why I'm not planning on doing that.
If anything else changes or magical happens, I will provide an update. Shoutout to everyone on TFP for your help because all of you are amazing! I hope all of you are doing well. ✌
