Shaken, not stirred?

Just got my TF-100 kit today and was reading the instructions (could really use some improvement). TFP has WAY more info than was provided with the kit, which has rather conflicting messages in its limited documentation. Maybe James Bond could clear this up?:

You want to gently shake or agitate the reagents to mix. The main point is to not go crazy slapping or shaking the reagents like crazy. Getting too aggressive can skew the testing.
