Thanks for clarifying.Hello, i got the tf100 test and i did myself. The readings are from the test you guys suggested except phosphate that has been reading constant at pool store. I also tested nitrate myself and came at 0 so i did not report it here. My pool is small about 11k gallons.
Thank you
The CYA test is hard to do, so you may want to repeat it a couple of times, to hone in on the level. Indirect, consistent light helps. Also just a quick glance to the dot and away. Staring at it can make it seem better/worse.
Yeah, the guess Cl amount prior to validation only bumped up the FC by about 1 ppm, so it easily dissipated in the sun - or algae, very quickly.
Safe to swim? You have nothing sanitizing the pool currently. So nothing killing algae, or other bacteria/viruses.
See this information: The Free Chlorine and Cyanuric Acid Relationship
Once you have refined what your CYA level is (round up to higher, if between marks), get your CL up to the high side of the recommended levels. THEN it is safe to swim. Test a couple of times per day right now, to make sure it stays up at the recommended level. Even at the SLAM level, it is safe to swim, as long as you can see the bottom.
From there we can advise other chem adjustments that may be called for and set you on the path to knock down the algae causing the haze.
