To keep on top of this in the future I would love to hear from anyone out there about generally how you manage your SWG in the really hot sunny days of summer?
I thought I had this kind of figured out but maybe not. We typically get to max 33 degrees on hot days here. So that’s about 91 F. Up to now we’ve been in the 20s, but the last week it’s gone up to 30 plus on a few days, which early for this time of year. I generally run my pump from about 9 AM to 6 or 7 PM with my SWG output at about 60%. It seems to be a good balance until the weekend, when temps went to 32. I increased the output slightly to between 65 and 70 but things took a nosedive anyway. There’s also just been tonnes of pollen this year and it’s been so dry that some of the trees are losing leaves from stress and so there’s been lots of junk in the pool, which I clean religiously but still can’t keep on top of it all.
Should I be turning the generator up more on these hot days? Run pump longer? I don’t know what went wrong. I do think I was not at the target FC as well. It was closer to 4 over the last week and my CYA is 65, so I think I do need to try to hit more around 5 for FC all the time. I thought the breaker had tripped on the weekend but that was not the case. Just seems like the SWG couldn’t keep up. Thanks all.
