Serious help needed

Visibility is about 33 inches, but I can faintly make out the bottom of the shadow end which is 36 inches. By that I mean one can see the outlines of the vinyl design on the floor bottom. In addition, I placed my vacuum head on the long pole on the shallow end floor, and one could barely see it. It is bright blue and it was visible to the extent that one could retrieve it from the pool by sight.

In my pool, mature frogs can survive forever...little frogs, not so much.

That seems to be my experience , as well:cool:

More good news and bad news and possibly some answers: First, the good news. I could see (barely) the bottom of the shallow end, and observed what I thought was more decayed leaves and muck.(the good news is that we have been aiming for bottom vision, and it was just about achieved) The latter was lodged in the shallow end adjacent to the shallow end return. I made the wrong decision to attempt to leaf rake it out. It was not solid leaf matter but the liquified brown muck/algae that would rise to the surface when I would pull out a large scoop of leaves in prior days. Of course, the leaf rake disturbed this matter, and it rose to the surface and began dissolving in the shallow end. This, of course, is part of the reason for my continued discoloration of the water. So it is a lesson learned. I should have left it alone to get input here before proceeding. Note that Swampwoman wanted things to settle so I could do a thorough vacuum. It appears that her approach/theory was correct. In any event, hopefully the liquified matter will slowly filter, and I can regain any ground that may have been lost.

I am eager for your input!:(

Experience- it's what's learned just after you needed it most !!

This saying from Divin Dave's signature seems to resonate more and more with me.
I think Swampwoman would say just leave it sit for now and when you can see a little better you will vacuum but will try her idea of slow vacuum being very careful not to disturb the water and vacuum to waste and get rid of it. But she will check in and let us know. She said she was very busy with work this week. On the positive side you are almost there.
