semi-inground pool with inground steps

we recently purchased an oval Oasis semi-inground pool 15x30 after our very old (50 year old) pool that we had for 15 years and was my family pool as a child, gave way. We are interested in putting the inground steps in and have seen others post on doing this. my questions are, what was done with the excess liner? and what additional measures did you do to ensure the steps were steady/sturdy?

Welcome to TFP but I have no experience with that type of pool.

No experience with those. Post a pic. If they are gasket stairs its probably similar to am inground. You cut away liner after sealing. Concrete holds them in

this is what my goal is.. another member of TFP's did this to their pool. I am wondering what they did with the excess liner since it wont line the stairs.

theres is completely finished.. these were the construction portions of it.

They are simple gasket stairs. Set the liner like any inground pool with a vacuum set and fill it. Wet cut the stairs after gaskets applied. Theres many YouTube vids on liner installs. Pretty simple to do just take time amd be patient amd careful

That last step is gonna be a doozy !!!! But also one that I would take any day of the week for a deeper pool.

I actually added more sand to that end of the pool so it would not be such a drop, so it’s not too bad.

Stairs are for the fancier wives to Sashay their way into the pool. Being so fancy schmancy, it's even FUNNIER when they faceplant getting in the pool. Anybody else should never enter the pool the boring way. Which reminds me, you need a deck to jump in from.

But yeah, getting out is much easier and the big step matters less.
