Seeking materials that hold up in a pool setting

The problem with Teflon is it is too slippery. My goal is to hold the cable, so there is no strain put on the connection with the motor. I guess it could have been used instead of the 4-bolt clamp, but I wouldn't know where to locate something like that... unless I machined it myself.

Since I've already bought the stainless steel parts, I don't need other options. Though your suggestion was interesting, since I can't slide the bushing over the cable, I'd have to cut it in half and then bolt it back together again over the cable. The stainless option was more cost effective. Thanks for the suggestion.
