Seeking a Hayward CX3000F1B Inlet Elbow

I am completely re-plumbing our pool equipment and in surveying the Hayward C?020 filter (Could be one of 4 models; irrelevant) I noticed a cracked inlet elbow (among other issues).

Come to find that, the part (CX3000F1) is discontinued and replaced by another discontinued part (CX3000F1B). I didn't realize that discontinued meant that every store across the globe races to throw out these parts, but if they don't that's what it feels like at least. I am not coming up with much of anything.

Bought one from inyopools for $98 and they proceeded to send me a CX3030F claiming it replaces CX3000F1B (hint: it doesn't). I am now dealing with a return. They also conveniently marked that item OOS after my order...

I have now bought 1 from two different sites in desperate hope to get this part:

1. One from spapartshop for $78; it is on 'Back Order' (I thought it originally said 'custom order 3-6 weeks shipping' but I can't find it anywhere anymore)
2. One from Guaranteed Parts for $90.71 (with $25 SHIPPING)

I don't have high hopes that either of these will be fulfilled. Do I have any reasonable repair options, or alternative parts? Mine is not just cracked, the whole thing looks almost flanged like it was screwed into a bulkhead connector that was slightly too large.

Thanks

UPDATE: CX3030F does indeed work for this model. It does not have the circular slot to help guide the air tube, but this is really unnecessary. As you see in the pictures, this piece broke off of my old part anyhow.

Good morning! Did you ever manage to get that thing back together? Just in case, I'll tag @1poolman1 to see if he has experience with that model in his travels.
Not yet, upon the acceptance that NO ONE has this part (well, I may get one in 3-6 weeks...we'll see) I decided it was time to improvise.

A brief review of the function of the part reveals that:
1. It lets water flow in at a certain height inside the case
2. It connects to the Bulkhead Connector

That's it. I realized the ANYTHING that has the same threading/pvc size as this part will fulfill the same function. The intake end doesn't even connect to anything. I have INTENTIONALLY purchased a CX3030F because at a glance it has the same threading...and should work.
