Last year we had a 9x18 Intex pool and I used PVC Conduit clamps screwed into some pressure treated wood to hold down the ladder. After 4 years we decided to upgrade to a 12x24 and once again I am trying to secure the ladder. As I do not have the surround installed the wood solution, I used prior will not work as I have nothing to tie it back into. I am thinking about 16" spiral ground anchors and using a ratchetting strap to the first stair to lock the ladder in place. I know I will need to keep an eye one the ratchet as the UV will break down the webbing on the strap. My other idea goes back to the PVC conduit clamps and using concrete anchors into a set up 16x16x1.75 pavers.
