Scupper versus Sheer Descent and Material Options

Hello,

We are in the process of finalizing the design of a new pool build which will include a feature wall with either 3 scuppers or sheer descents. We are considering both options and saw another thread here asking a similar question: Sheer vs scupper

We would love to hear some feedback on choosing one over the other.

If we choose the scuppers, is there a preferred material that we should be looking for? Brass, Copper, something else?

For those who have scuppers, we would love to see some pictures as well! Thank you!

Here’s a photo of our copper scuppers. Copper will oxidize over time and give you that greenish patina which we like.
