After nixing the idea of a $5000 pool fence around our pool for the kids- we're now thinking about having a screened "porch" build around/over our pool. Our backyard has lots of trees that are nearly hanging over the pool. The pool is 45'x12' with a kickout for the steps and sitting bench at the deep end. I'm thinking about an actual roof with shingles that will handle a snow load, and have lots of skylights, then screened panels all around. Then have a kickout to tie into the house's sliding door and have room for our patio table.
Here are some pics- We would take down the exisiting screened porch, pull the bushes, and have the screens run down where the white rocks are- then a kickout/room ties into house and a wide section to cover the steps.
Thoughts?
