I keep getting scale build only in this one area of my pool by my spillway.

This side of spillway is slightly lower and has a constant slow drip into pool.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Best way to minimize it is to run your spillway the minimum necessary. A couple times a day for 30 minutes or so is all that is needed for sanitation, typically. Then run it when you want to show off the feature. You have the automation to manage that.

Otherwise, no. Rough stone spillways will always exacerbate the calcium scale as you have more surface area for evaporation. Maintaining a slightly negative CSI will help, but not eliminate the issue.

Thanks. I’m only running spillway a few times a day to chlorinate spa. Other than that it is off but bc the water level when spa is off is right at the spillway, the low end side always has that slow leak.

I will make sure I keep CSI slightly negative and continue to use my flathead screw driver to remove it occasionally.
