Hi, I recently replaced my 6 way Pentair filter valve head because of a bad gasket.
I purchased the whole valve, but only swapped the head.
The head is lined up with the notch in the old body.
The new valve is part number 262506
The old valve is part number 262527
They look identical.
When i put the value in Filter mode, it filters at 4psi, then a lot of water starts coming our of the backwash port after 10 to 15 seconds.
Recirculate is fine
Rinse does nothing 0psi
Waste is 90% backwash port, 10% pool port
Backwash does nothing
The new valve handle moves freely, but does have a little slop when in position. IDK if that's normal.
I haven't had the filter running since winterizing last season due to the gasket problem.
I live in Canada, so harsh freeze....could the filter body be cracked?
Any thoughts?

It honestly sounds like the valve assembly or in & out hose connections to the valve are backwards. Can you confirm?
