I saw the Taylor sample sizer somewhere and came straight to the forum to search for it. It's a thing. I ordered one. It is simultaneously the least needed item in my test kit as well as the sitting at a solid number two of items that make your life easier behind the speed stir. 5 stars, would recommend. I know longer have to have my reading glasses to see the test tube graduation markings!

If I can suggest, this might be good supplemental information to put in the Pool Test Kit wiki/pool school pages right after the Speed stir? Just a thought.

The problem is the Sample Sizer only works with Taylor vials and not the vials that come with the TFT kits. I have not wanted to cause that confusion.

If you are a Taylor customer then it is a neat gadget.

Shawn,

I replaced all of the vials that came with my test kits with Taylor vials... I love the sample sizer!! I have been using it for years.

It sits under my speed stir in my TF-Pro Salt test kit...

Thanks,

That's fair. I see how that could cause an issue.

That is where mine lives too, now. I also ordered a couple of extra Taylor 9198s since my chlorine beaker was losing the graduation print lines on it was all perfect timing. Feel like it's been a good week. I'm becoming that pool nerd guy.

I respect it greatly for the help it provides us lazy folks, but I test at my kitchen table and I'd have to use it over a plate to catch the expelled water. Then I'd save measuring 10ml but have to wash and put away a plate so it a net negative for my lazy. :ROFLMAO:

Now if someone comes up with a 10ml scoop that I can pour into the test vial, I'd be all over that. (y)

*edit. They DO make 10 ml scoops.
all measure no mess.

Not a scoop, but I got a 10ml syringe (the kind for administering kids liquid medicine) at the local pharmacy.
Quick, simple, mostly mess free - and way cheaper than a SampleSizer.
