While in slam process will the saltwater test strips read accurately? Need to plug in generator to help maintain shock levels during the day.

A salt water generator won't make anywhere enough chlorine to slam. Most people just turn it off and use other methods to slam.
I thought I read somewhere if you have been in a slam mode for a while you could turn on s.w. generator to help maintain slam levels. I due test and dose with liquid chlorine. I am on week 2 with slam but started with a swamp.

I tried it thinking the same thing.
It won't work unless your SLAM level is low and your SWG produces a bunch of chlorine.
During a SLAM, the chlorine loss during the day is going to be much higher than your typical daily chlorine loss due to the loss being a percentage of TC, not a finite amount like 3 or 4 ppm per day.
It may work at night when there is no sun, but then you lose the ability to perform an OCLT.
